When I first saw the job advertisement for a Talent Network Manager at Lovorda, it immediately caught my attention. The role seemed exciting and the company shared my values. But when I noticed there were already over 300 applications, doubts began to creep in. Could I really stand out among so many candidates?

I had been job hunting for a while and was tired of receiving the same "thanks, but no thanks" emails: "We have received an unusually high number of applications and the competition has been extremely tough. Unfortunately, we have decided to proceed with another candidate." My confidence was at an all-time low. Even though I had progressed in some recruitment processes, the path ahead felt long and uncertain.
Despite my doubts, I decided to apply for the job at Lovorda. I added the recruiter, Andreas, on LinkedIn with a plan to write a really good message as soon as he accepted my connection request. But what could I write? How could I sell myself through a LinkedIn message? Anxiety crept in and I felt hopeless.

But to my great surprise, Andreas actually got in touch. Suddenly, I felt a glimmer of hope. We scheduled an interview, and Andreas asked me to create a Lovorda profile, where I could showcase my professional strengths through recommendations from people I had worked with. It felt simple and straightforward, so I got started and asked my network to recommend me.

When I saw the fantastic reviews from my network – noting that I was reliable, a doer, communicative, driven, responsible, and proactive – my confidence received a huge boost. During my second interview, I felt strong and self-assured. My unique profile, based on real recommendations, helped me stand out and show my true strengths.

The second interview went brilliantly and I knew this job was something I really wanted. And now, here I am, humbly grateful to have received the role of Talent Network Manager at Lovorda. I now have the opportunity to help others understand their own value and find their dream employers in a way that truly makes a difference.
